The first time in a long time I've felt such euphoria, such feeling of being "alive". Maybe it was the de-stressed week at work I had, maybe it's the month, or maybe, just maybe cause ...... I love this game.
Just back from balling for EY. Well, we lost. But I have to say I'm damn proud to be part of the team. I played my heart out and am proud of my own performance. My first official tournament. Makes me wonder how I was never a school team player back in high school. I had so much potential, just not the right guidance.
The pass 5 months playing and training every week. Even the weeks where we barely shot a ball and had to run and do push-ups and boring drills. It all made me a better player.
To be able to finally let others see what I can do on the court, to show them what I'm made of. That was always my dream.
I promise this to myself : If I ever manage to stay in EY until 2012, that will be the year I'll take up the captaincy. But before that, much more to learn. And next year, with more hard work and practice, we'll win them all.
Still can't believe how the #$%^&*#$%^ we lost, but that's life, you win some, you lose some. Hey, I'm 21, I have the world ahead of me, lots more time to be the player I want and know I can be.
Thanks to the team, especially Edmund, the captain. Respect you the most.
Peace out. Ballers for life.

Gotta love this metaphor from Will Smith in Hitch ...
"Falling in love is like when you jump off the cliff and hope that god somehow makes you fly. Cos if you don't have that believe, then you'll fall straight down like a rock. And when you're falling down, you'll be thinking why the hell did you jump in the first place."
Love metaphors ... especially when they mean something and definitely when they mean nothing ...

Movie to watch !!
Finally, something worthy to blog about ...
No, its not Transformers, or Terminator or even Harry Potter.
The movie you should watch asap is "
Front of the Class". Classic movie. Nothing spectacular but will remain in memory for the rest of my life.

Blogging idea ...
More thinking due to less work ...
I was thinking ... too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. I'm not the first person to say that but I'm finally starting to realise and understand it.
When someone starts to have too much of an influence, no matter how positive or great it is, it can instead be counter-productive.
Let's take a great leader we have all known for years as an example. No not dear Dr M, and definitely no, not Bush, but Hitler. He was a strong leader, an inspirational one. He managed to garner alot of support and was able to persuade others to follow his ways. But once he strayed, once he thought he was better than everyone else, that's where everything went wrong.
And by that time, noone could have stopped him. And the end product -- World War II. That's the risk one takes if an organisation or a group relies too much on ONE leader. If that leader strays, or takes one wrong step, its finished. And then it becomes a dictatorship. One that has no right or wrong rules, just HIS rules.

Here's a question :
How do you make someone apologise ?
Ok, let me rephrase.
How do you let someone know they should apologise for things they've done so wrong but they don't realise it ?
The answer :
You can't. And that's why life goes on.
Sorry I wasted your time...

Think about this awhile ...
They say,
"friends will be there during the happy times, but good friends will be there during the sad times too".
But I think in this day and age,
ALL friends will be there for you when you are down, it is
great friends that will be there during the happy times too.
In our lives, when we are devastated, heartbroken, any decent friend would help you out. But when you're living life as you do normally, suddenly your circle of friends shrinks to the group you usually hang out with. I mean, you won't talk to your long lost primary school friend, or the one you usually ask for advice like your senior if you were not facing any problems.
And do you sometimes feel you hear too much of "hey, you ok or not ? want to share your problems ?" but you don't hear enough of "hey great day huh ? what you so happy about ? I'm happy too cos I did this and this and that."
But i guess noone's perfect huh ? Just live life as it is. Basketball match on Tuesday, hope I play well XD
